ANALYSING VISUAL CULTURE – APPLYING THEORY TO IMAGES AND OBJECTS with Cath DaviesPosted: November 13, 2014
In today’s key skills constellation talk with Cath Davies we focused on how to effectively analyse an image and break it down to its key components on a table divided into 3 separate areas. Using this table and an example image as a group picked out the fundamental parts of the image, what these objects mean as part of the image and how you can back up this evidence and opinion. I found this talk of great value and being able to break apart the structure of work and evaluate it with evidence and back this evidence on both sides of an argument. This will also be a useful practice to use in my essay for the baby cage.
